Source BYD parts by VIN, powertrain and exact OEM reference
To source BYD parts for electric and hybrid vehicles, identify the exact market vehicle by VIN, production period and powertrain, then confirm each OEM number in the correct EPC context. Do not submit a request only for “BYD EV parts.” The BYD parts page can organize brand coverage, but each quotation line needs vehicle-specific evidence.
This is more detailed than a conventional model-and-year check because one model family may include different battery, motor, charging, drive and control configurations. Electronic components may also require software, coding or calibration. A physical match is not always a usable match.
Record the vehicle configuration before requesting parts
Relevant demand may include Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal, Sealion 07, Song Plus, Han, Tang, M6 and Shark. Use only the exact model supported by the VIN and market documents. Record whether the vehicle is battery-electric or hybrid, along with model year, production date, drive configuration and available battery or powertrain information.
For every part, provide the OEM number, installed position, required quantity and clear photographs of labels, connectors and mounting points. State LH or RH for lamps, mirrors and body parts. If the supplier proposes a new number, ask for the supersession evidence and any production-date condition.
The supplier should return confirmed, conditional and unresolved lines separately. A market name, visual resemblance or connector that appears to fit cannot replace the complete number and application check.
Separate ordinary parts from EV-specific systems
General body, suspension, cabin and service items can often follow familiar sourcing controls: OEM number, dimensions, side, vehicle application, sample and inspection. High-voltage cables, charging components, traction electronics, battery systems and software-dependent modules require additional technical and safety review.

For an electronic module, confirm the full number and suffix, hardware revision, connector, voltage and any pairing, programming or calibration requirement. Confirm the receiving workshop has the necessary capability before ordering. Purchasing information must not be turned into high-voltage installation guidance; trained technicians should follow the vehicle maker's procedures.
Lithium batteries are dangerous goods for transport and must be reviewed separately. Product type, condition, packaging, documentation, route and carrier acceptance can all affect whether and how a battery may move. Ask a qualified forwarder before payment. Never describe battery cargo as ordinary spare parts.
Give collision parts the evidence they need
Many real BYD inquiries concern collision items such as headlamps, mirrors, trim and bumpers. These parts can vary by side, camera or sensor equipment, lamp specification, connector, finish and production change. Send the VIN plus photos of the damaged area and surviving labels. State whether brackets, modules or harnesses are included in the required assembly.

Ask for current photographs of the proposed part before payment, especially for genuine branded parts. Compare labels, OEM number, mounting points and connectors. For a painted or visible trim item, specify the finish or color requirement; do not assume a catalogue image represents the delivered surface.
Bulky collision parts require protective packaging and may be charged by volume in transport. Confirm carton dimensions and gross weight before choosing air, sea or consolidated freight.
Use samples and product-specific evidence
A paid sample can help check labels, dimensions, connectors, finish and packaging for suitable items. PartSail states that paid sample cost can be refundable against a bulk order. Record the credit condition and retain the approved evidence for production inspection. A sample cannot by itself prove software compatibility or battery condition.
PartSail lists IATF 16949:2016, ECE R90, ISO 9001:2015 and CE among available certifications. These serve different purposes and do not create a universal EV-parts approval. Ask for evidence tied to the exact SKU, manufacturer, application and destination. The importer should confirm current product and transport requirements.
Plan the order after technical approval
PartSail's MOQ is negotiable from 100–200 sets per SKU, with mixed containers supported. Its stated production lead time is 15–35 days depending on quantity and customization. These figures help with ordinary production planning, but they do not override software checks, product-specific minimums or dangerous-goods acceptance.
The final quotation should state exact part, condition and brand, unit basis, quantity, price, packaging, Incoterm and named place, payment terms, validity and readiness milestone. PartSail offers neutral, custom-brand, color-box and bulk export packaging. For collision pieces, agree on protection and carton marks; for electronics, agree on connector and label evidence.
A sound BYD order moves through vehicle confirmation, SKU evidence, technical approval, commercial approval, inspection and accepted transport. That sequence keeps EV-specific safety, software and battery questions visible instead of burying them inside a general parts list.
